TIPS FOR STORING AND MAINTAINING PLYWOOD

1. Store plywood in a dry and cool place: Plywood should be stored in a dry and cool place where it is protected from moisture and extreme temperatures. Exposure to moisture can cause warping, and extreme temperatures can cause the glue to break down.
2. Keep plywood flat: Plywood should always be stored flat, preferably on a level surface. Storing it on an uneven surface can cause it to warp, and storing it vertically can cause it to bow.
3. Cover plywood with a tarp: To protect plywood from dust and debris, cover it with a tarp or plastic sheeting. This will also help keep moisture away from the wood.
4. Avoid direct sunlight: Sunlight can cause plywood to fade and become brittle over time. If you must store plywood outside, make sure to cover it with a tarp and keep it out of direct sunlight.
5. Inspect for damage: Before using plywood, inspect it for any signs of damage such as cracks, splits, or warping. If you find any damage, discard the plywood and use a new piece.
6. Apply a sealer or finish: To protect plywood from moisture and wear, apply a sealer or finish to the surface. This will also help prevent warping and splitting.
7. Use appropriate saw blades: When cutting plywood, use a saw blade with fine teeth to prevent splintering and tearing of the wood.
